It was a clean sweep for the state's four NCAA Division I teams — Portland State, Portland, Oregon and Oregon State all won at home.

  • Easom scores 27; Vikings top Bobcats

    Portland State ran away from Montana State 72-61 at Stott Center, as Emily Easom poured in 27 points.

    PSU improved to 4-8 in the Big Sky, 6-15 overall.

    MSU fell to 6-6, 11-10.

    The Vikings shot 44.6 percent from the field and held the Bobcats to 31.7 percent. PSU also had a 22-8 edge in points in the paint.

    Easom made 6 of 13 from the floor and 12 of 13 from the free-throw line.

    PSU came on strong and led 31-19 at the half. MSU's largest lead was 3, and it came just 15 seconds into the game. The Vikings led by as many as 24 points; that was midway through the second half.

  • Pilots stay hot

    The University of Portland finished a weekend sweep of visiting West Coast Conference foes, beating Pepperdine 78-59 at Chiles Center.

    UP, coming off a victory over Loyola Marymount, continued its good offense. The Pilots had four players reach double figures, with Jasmine Wooton and Cassandra each netting 17 points, Kari Luttinen scoring 16 and freshman Hannah Mattson adding a career-high 11.

    Wooton also contributed a career-best eight assists.

    Portland outshot the Waves from the field, 46.3 percent to 31.3 percent.

    The first half was all Portland: The Pilots led 43-19 at the break.

    Pepperdine fell to 1-11 in the WCC and 5-18 overall, while UP climbed to 7-6, 14-10.

  • Rose, Alleyne lead Ducks

    Oregon broke out of a 36-36 halftime tie to beat Utah 93-71 at Matthew Knight Arena.

    The Ducks' standouts, Chrishae Rowe and Jillian Alleyne, were at it again. Rowe finished with a game-high 38 points and nine rebounds, while Alleyne grabbed a game-high 17 rebounds and scored 18 points.

    Oregon raised its Pac-12 record to 4-7, and the Utes fell to 3-8. The Ducks are 13-9 overall. Utah is 10-12.

  • Balanced Beavers defeat Colorado

    Oregon State got its ninth win in 10 home games, with four players reaching double figures in scoring at Gill Coliseum.

    Freshman Sydney Wiese's 20 points led the way as OSU topped Colorado 75-63.

    The Beavers improved to 6-5 in the Pac-12, 14-9 overall. The Buffaloes fell to 3-8, 13-9.

    Also for OSU, forward Deven Hunter had a career-high 18 points, nine rebounds and a game-high five assists; forward Ali Gibson scored 12 points and post Ruth Hamblin had 11 points, seven rebounds and four blocks.
