Grey picks up the win at Vancouver; Duzenack 's two-run home run helps finish off Canadians

The Hillsboro Hops won their second game in a row on Sunday, knocking off a division leader, Vancouver, 6-1 on the Canadians' home field.

Eudy Ramos, Pavel Smith and Connor Owings each had two hits for the Hops, Tim Susnari had a double and RBI, and Camden Duzenack hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning.GREY

Hillsboro scored three times in the eighth for the game's final runs, and the Hops' pitchers held Vancouver to five hits.

Connor Grey (4-2) worked the first 6 1/3 innings, allowing one run on four hits, with five strikeouts.

Hillsboro improved to 17-14, while the Canadians dropped to 18-13.

The middle game of the five-game series is 7 p.m. Monday.
