Gamel and Seager hit three-run homers and Marco Gonzales scatters eight hits in five innings for his first win with Seattle

GONZALESMarco Gonzales won his first game with the Seattle Mariners, thanks to some big hits by the offense.

Ben Gamel and Kyle Seager each slammed three-run home runs to back to the pitching of Gonzales, as the Mariners beat Texas 10-3 at Arlington, Texas.

Gamel and Robinson Cano each had three hits as the Mariners pounded out 15 hits.

The Mariners (72-73) go for the series win at 5 p.m. Wednesday, with Mike Leake (2-0, 2.77) pitching for Seattle opposite Martin Perez (12-10, 4.81).

The Mariners roughed up Texas starter Miguel Gonzalez for seven hits and seven runs in 2 1/3 innings.

Mike Zunino's RBI single made it 1-0 in the second inning, and Gamel later followed with his three-run shot.

Seager made it 7-1 in the third inning with his 24th homer.

Seattle added single runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings.

Gonzales gave up eight hits and three runs while striking out six and walking one in five innings for the win.

Acquired from St. Louis this season, the former Gonzaga player had won his first four major-league games with the Cardinals in 2014.

Texas fell to 72-72.
