Leonard leads the way with 17 points as Portland wins big without Nurkic; former Grant High guard James scores 19 points for Phoenix

Break up the Blazers.

They're 4-1 in the NBA exhibition season after posting another victory handily on Wednesday night.

Portland led by 25 points after three quarters, then coasted to a 113-104 win at Phoenix.

The Suns got 43 points in the fourth quarter but fell to 1-3.

Meyers Leonard led the Blazers with 17 points and eight rebounds, as fellow center Jusuf Nurkic sat out with a concussion and rookie power forward Caleb Swanigan was ejected in the fourth period after a tussle with Alex Len.

Damian Lillard had 13 points for the Blazers, Evan Turner 12, Isaiah Briscoe 11 and CJ McCollum 10.

The Blazers sank 12 of 23 shots from 3-point range. The Suns were 11 of 35.

Josh Jackson led Phoenix with 22 points.

Mike James, a 6-1 Suns guard from Grant High, had 19 points on 5-for-11 shooting from the field. He was 2 of 4 on 3-pointers and made all seven of his free throws.
