TUESDAY COLLEGE RESULTS/Wolves improve to 12-1 overall with Great Northwest Athletic Conference men's victory


Western Oregon 71, CONCORDIA 60

• At Concordia, the visiting Wolves picked up a Great Northwest Athletic Conference victory, leading most of the way and by as many as 14 points on Tuesday night.

The Cavaliers fell to 4-9 overall and 0-5 in the GNAC with their ninth loss in a row. They are 2-5 at home.

WOU, ranked 14th and 18th in NCAA Division II polls, improved to 12-1, 4-1 GNAC.

Western Oregon got some separation late in the first half for a 38-26 intermission lead at LCEF Court.

With 10 minutes to go, the Wolves were on top, 53-42, and they were able to pretty much maintain that.

Concordia's Christopher Edward had 17 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Bryan Michaels and Hunter Sweet each scored 12 points.

For Western Oregon, Vince Boumann had 17 points and nine rebounds, and Malik Morgan scored 17 points.
