Trail Blazers' All-Star point guard scores 50 in three quarters to lead Portland to victory at Sacramento

It was an All-Star performance by the Trail Blazers' NBA Western Conference All-Star point guard.

Damian Lillard scored 50 points, 28 in the first half and 22 in the third quarters, to lead the Blazers to a 118-100 road win over the Sacramento Kings on Friday night.

Lillard finished 16 of 26 from the field and 8 of 13 on 3-pointers. He was 10 of 10 at the free-throw line.

In the first half, Lillard was 8 of 11 from the floor and 5 of 6 from beyond the arc, and helped Portland grab a 62-52 lead.

The Kings closed to within one point in the third quarter before Lillard turned on the offense again. He wound up with 22 points in the period, and Portland had a 92-74 lead going into the final 12 minutes.

Lillard's 50 points came in 29 minutes, and after that he was done for the evening.

Portland's No. 2 scorer was Moe Harkless, who had 15 points. CJ McCollum had 13.

The Blazers' second win in two nights lifted their record to 31-25, and 15-15 away from Moda Center.

Sacramento fell to 17-37, next to last in the NBA Western Conference.
