UCLA denies Beaver sweep

• At Corvallis, the Beavers failed to get a three-game sweep and will have to settle for second place in the Pac-12 and with a likely national seed and home regional series to come.

OSU's run came in the fifth, when Zak Taylor came home on a wild pitch.
UCLA got its final run in the eighth and wound up with seven hits to OSU's eight.
Michael Gretler and Cadyn Grenier each had two hits for Oregon State.
Nathan Burns (1-1) took the loss, giving up two hits and two runs in 2/3 of an inning.
The Beavers, ranked first and second in the national polls, finished the regular season at 44-10-1 overall and 20-9-1 in the Pac-12.
The Bruins are 36-19, 19-11.
Arizona 11, OREGON 4
• The Ducks ended a losing season with a whimper over the final four innings, when they were outscored 10-2 to drop the home series, 2-1.
Oregon finished 26-29 overall and 12-19 in the Pac-12.
The Wildcats might have punched themselves a ticket to the NCAA tournament with the victory, which boosted their record to 34-22, 14-16 in the conference.
Oregon, plagued by lack of pitching depth all season, couldn't hang on to the 2-1 lead it had going into the fifth inning.
Arizona wound up with 13 hits, while the Ducks had 10.
