A former Oregon Ducks star quarterback-turned-NFL great and an NHL-bound former Portland Winterhawks winger have reason to celebrate

Dan Fouts (age 67)

The ex-Oregon Ducks quarterback hails from San Francisco. He was a six-time Pro Bowler with the San Diego Chargers, playing for them from 1973-87 after the club drafted him in the third round.

Fouts, 6-3, 205 pounds, passed for 43,040 yards and 254 touchdowns. He's now a veteran football broadcaster and a Pro Football Hall of Famer.

June 10, 1998

Kieffer Bellows (age 20)

Born in Edina, Minn., he played left wing for the Portland Winterhawks last season, notching 41 goals and 33 assists in 56 games. The 6-0, 195-pounder was drafted 19th overall by the New York Islanders and is expected to begin his NHL career next season.
