Can be done via cards or online

Tuesday, Oct. 16, is the deadline to register to vote for the Nov. 6 general election.

Oregon voters may register online, if they have a valid Oregon driver’s livence, permit or ID card, at Voters also can check their registration status at that website, or make changes in their political party or address.

Those who want to register in person may obtain registration cards at post offices, libraries, DMV offices and Multnomah County Elections, at 1040 S.E Morrison St.

Deadline to register in person is 5 p.m. Tuesday; or midnight if done online; Mailed registration forms must be postmarked by Oct. 16.
