by: MULTNOMAH COUNTY JAIL - Jeremy Elliot MoorePolice have arrested a man for stabbing another man during an argument at the skatepark under the west end of the Burnside Bridge late Friday.

Jeremy Elliot Moore, 29, was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on one count of assault in the first degree.

Police say that the victim was skating in the skatepark when he and Moore got in to a verbal altercation. Moore produced a knife and stabbed the victim in one of his legs, causing non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, at 10:27 p.m. on Feb,1, Central Precinct officers responded to the report of a stabbing at the Burnside Skatepark, located at 2 Southeast 2nd Avenue, under the Burnside Bridge.

When the officers arrived, they found the victim, who was transported to a Portland hospital for treatment.

Suspect information was given to area officers and he was located and arrested without incident on the Eastbank Esplanade near the Steel Bridge.

Criminalists from the Forensic Evidence Division and detectives from the Assault Detail responded to conduct an investigation.
