A 29-year-old man was arrested Sunday afternoon after reports had come in that he was sitting in a vehicle at the Oregon Zoo parking lot holding a handgun.

by: PORTLAND POLICE BUREAU - Ryan Stratford was arrested on Sunday after he was observed sitting in his vehicle with what turned out to be two BB guns and a small amount of marijuana.Central Precinct officers arrived at the parking lot shortly before 1 p.m. and found 29-year-old Ryan Stratford sitting in a black 2005 Volkswagen Jetta.

Stratford was ordered to put his hands out the window of the vehicle, which he did and was then taken into custody without incident.

Officers located two replica firearms that were plastic BB guns with detachable magazines. Additionally officers located a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle.

Stratford was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree and Possession of Less than an Ounce of Marijuana and booked into the Multnomah County Jail.
