A 27-year-old man faces a murder charge in connection with Saturday morning's shooting that killed one man and wounded four others outside a Southeast Portland strip club.

Jontae Mixon was arrested at about 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, in Northeast Portland. He was lodged in Multnomah County Jail on charges of murder, attempted murder, first- and second-degree assault, being a felon in possession of a firearm and unlawful use of a firearm.

Mixon was taken into custody by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force who were working with the Portland Police Bureau, the Gresham Police Department and the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.

Portland police said the shooting at about 3:14 a.m. Saturday, July 5, was gang-related. The victim in the shooting was 26-year-old Hahrahcio Roy Branch, who died at a Portland hospital where he was being treated for his injuries.

Other victims were 26-year-old Lamarcus Sanchez Miles, 24-year-old Ladarrius Deon Givens, 32-year-old Tony Dwayne Allen and 27-year-old Samantha Sonnel Jones.

Police said the four wounded people are expected to recover.

They were shot at in the parking lot of Soobie's Bar & Grill Strip Club, 333 S.E. 122nd Ave. When officers arrived, KOIN News 6 reported that they found a chaotic scene, with a couple dozen people in the parking lot.
