Two shootings occurred early Saturday morning in Portland neighborhoods

The Portland Police Bureau Gang Enforcement Team and Gun Task Force is investigating two shootings that occurred early morning on Saturday, July 12.

Just after 1 a.m., Portland Police responded to a call of multiple shots fired in the 500 block of Lombard Street.

Officers arrived on scene to find evidence of gunfire on the sidewalk, but no bullet strikes or victims. Witnesses described hearing multiple gunshots then seeing a large group of people run from the scene.

Shortly afterward, at 3.36 a.m., officers responded to the 7500 block of Northeast Stanton Street again because of multiple shots fired.

Officers found evidence of gunfire outside a residence, as well as bullet strikes on a home at 7532 N.E. Stanton St.

One bullet was reported to have traveled through a wall and a couch where a resident was laying.

At both calls, no injuries were reported and there is no suspect information.
