UPDATE: Police identify the victim and say Oregon State Medical Examiner has determined the death was likely caused by falling off his .bicycle

COURTESY GOOGLE - Colonel Summers ParkPolice have identified the man whose body was found in Colonel Summers Park early Tuesday.

The Oregon State Medical Examiner has determined the Portlander Boyd Littell, 40, died an accidental death, likely the result from him falling off his bicycle. Investigators do not believe foul play is involved.

According to police, at 7:43 a.m. on Oct. 31, Central Precinct officers responded to the park, located near Southeast Belmont Street and Southeast 20th Avenue, on the report of a non-responsive male lying in it.

When officers and emergency medical personnel arrived, they determined the man was deceased.

Homicide detectives, criminalists from the Forensic Evidence Division, investigators with the Traffic Division and personnel from the Oregon State Medical Examiner's office responded to conduct a death investigation.

Southeast 20th Avenue will be closed from Southeast Belmont Street to Southeast Taylor Street during the investigation.
