Disturbance led to man's shooting death in SE Portland
Portland homicide detectives say a California man found dead Saturday afternoon in Southeast Portland might have been involved in a disturbance with several people before he was shot to death.
Police said the man was found dead at about 3:16 p.m. Feb. 10, in the 1200 block of Southeast Seventh Avenue. Detectives said the man who fired the handgun, 48-year-old Joseph D. Vinci, remained at the scene, surrendered the firearm and cooperated with the investigation.
The victim was identified as 38-year-old Richard R. Hanley of California.
No arrests have been made in the case.
