Who else is excited for Concours d'Elegance?
Dozens of car enthusiasts turned Main Street Forest Grove into a dazzling display of automotive excellence on Saturday morning, as they prepared for the annual Vineyard Tour.
The parade of gleaming chrome and metal included a rare burgundy 1939 Alfa Romeo 6C (pictured), owned by David Smith of Medina, Washington and a 1965 Alfa Romeo Touring Spider owned by David Word of San Francisco.'
Both cars will be part of the "Passion of Alfa Romeo" celebration at Sunday's Forest Grove Concours d'Elegance, held on the campus of Pacific University.
The cars on the vineyard tour rolled out of town at 8:30 and were scheduled to make a stop at Ken Austin's car museum in Newberg before ending up at Durant Vineyards in Dayton.
But the big event is tomorrow.
Now in its 46th year, the 2018 Forest Grove Concours d'Elegance will feature more than 300 classic, sport and custom cars, drawing thousands of visitors to the campus of Pacific University, just west of Portland. Those who attend on Sunday will find some exotic museum-quality automobiles, from around the Pacific Northwest.
