Christopher Fleet sentenced for meth, heroin and firearm charges after raid of drug house.

MCSO PHOTO - Christopher FleetA Portland man has been sentenced to 84 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to drug and firearm charges.

Christopher James Fleet, 23, admitted in court to possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking, according to a news release.

Police say Fleet was found carrying a Kel Tec 9mm pistol and "distribution quantities" of meth and heroin when he was arrested in August, 2017.

At that time, Multnomah County Sheriff's deputies say they were surveilling a "known drug and gang house" in Portland.

The authorities saw Fleet pull up to the house and go inside. When Fleet left the house and walked back toward his car, uniformed deputies in unmarked vehicles blocked him in.

"After initially refusing to comply with the deputy's commands to raise his hands and failing to find an escape route, Fleet surrendered," the news release reports. "(Deputies) also found a locked backpack in Fleet's vehicle. The backpack was later found to contain a .40 caliber Sig Sauer pistol, drug records and a digital scale."

The case was prosecuted by Leah K. Bolstad, Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Oregon.
