COURTESY PPB - Portland Police released this photo after an ATM was stolen from a conveniance store. Portland Police East Precinct officers responded to a Plaid Pantry, 5146 S.E. Holgate Boulevard, around 4:18 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 10.

Police say three men tied the ATM to a chain attached to a pick-up truck and successfully pulled the ATM free. They later removed cash from it. But in their haste, they crashed into a nearby TriMet bus.

No one onboard the bus was injured in the crash. Police found the pick-up abandoned near Southeast Cora Street and 42nd Avenue.

"One suspect has been described as a white man, 6-feet-tall with a medium to heavy build and the second has been described as a man, 6-feet-tall with a thin build," according to KOIN 6 News, a media partner of the Portland Tribune. "There is no description for the third suspect."

Police ask nearby residents and businesses to check their security cameras for relevant footage.
