Attempted burglary with airsoft pistol reported
An 18-year-old has been arrested after police say he allegedly entered a residence armed with a realistic air-soft pistol.
Tyrone Evan Livermore faces charges of first-degree burglary and first-degree attempted burglary, according to a news release.
Central Precinct officers responded to reports of a man moving through several backyards on the 3200 block of Southwest Vermont Street at about 10:17 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 14.
Police say the suspect attempted to enter one home and successfully entered another. After police arrived, the suspect ran into Gabriel Park near Southwest 37th Avenue and California Street.
The authorities allege that they pursued the suspect into the park on foot and arrested him "without incident."
