On suspect is charged with attempted murder although no one was hurt when four structures were hit by gunfire.

MULTNOMAH COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE - Ny'Shaun EdwardsGresham police have arrested two teenage men in connection with a Friday shooting.

No one was injured in the shooting, although three occupied homes and a business were struck by bullets.

Ny'Shaun Edwards, 18, is charged with attempted murder, unlawful use of a weapon, attempt elude in a vehicle, attempt elude on foot, reckless driving, and two counts of hit and run. Niko Thomas, 18, is charged with felon in possession of a firearm and a probation violation.


According to police, the investigation began around 5:15 p.m. Friday when officers responded to the report of shots heard in the area of Northeast 188th Avenue and Northeast Glisan Street. Officers then located shell casings at the location. A black van or SUV with tinted windows and a broken rear or side window may have been involved.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., officers located a similar vehicle which immediately fled. After a vehicle pursuit, the van stopped and the occupants ran away. Following a short foot pursuit, Edwards and Thomas were taken into custody.
