The trip will take place in June, and the cost to attend ranges from between $344 to $474.

For two nights and three days, the King City Travel Club will take a road trip to Ashland next month.

Ashland is a city in southern Oregon, about 16 miles north of the California board on Highway I-5. It's known for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and is the home of Southern Oregon University.

As of 2015, the city's population was approaching 21,000.

The agenda will go as follows: The bus will leave from the King City Civic Association Library parking lot at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 19. On the trip down south, there will be stops along the way for a box lunch and to stretch our legs. We will arrive at the Inn at the Commons in Medford at around 4:30 p.m. Dinner will be on your own.

On Wednesday June 20, breakfast will be at the hotel from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. The bus will load at 11:30 a.m. for everyone to tour Ashland and the Shakespearean Festival for the day. We will return to the hotel at 4 p.m. to relax, swim, shop, et cetera. At 5:30 p.m., the group will walk across the street to have dinner at the Common Block Brewery. At 7 p.m. the bus will load to go back into Ashland to see the play "Romeo and Juliet."

On Thursday, June 21, breakfast will be provided at the Inn from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. The bus will load at 10:30 a.m for the trip home, with an expected arrival of 6:30 p.m.

The cost of the trip will be $474 for single occupancy or $344 double occupancy. The price will include transportation, some meals, all gratuities, tickets for the play and the cost of the hotel.
