Graceland University

Bryn Nilsen of Portland was selected for a poster presentation on "Effectiveness of Eft-90 NMR for Sodium-23 Experiments" in Science and Math at the 2017 Graceland University Scholars' Showcase.

University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Joshua Connor Peltz of Portland was among more than 1,900 University of Nebraska-Lincoln students honored during individual college celebrations and the All-University Honors Convocation on April 23. Peltz, a freshman in the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts, was recognized as a High Scholar, meaning he was in the top 10 percent of his class.

Fairleigh Dickinson University

Portland resident Amelia Vetto, a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University's Florham Campus in New Jersey, has been inducted into FDU's Phi Omega Epsilon honor society for the fall 2016 semester. Students are eligible for the senior honor society by completing at least 90 earned credits toward an undergraduate degree and acquiring a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50.

Phi Kappa Phi

Agnes Gantz of Portland was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Gantz was initiated at The University of Texas at Arlington. Membership in the society is by invitation and only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.

Azusa Pacific University

Portland resident Elizabeth Tsen graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing on May 6, joining approximately 1,700 graduates at the spring commencement ceremonies.
