On June 10, a Tillamook man died on scene, and a Warren woman died weeks later from injuries she sustained in the crash. A Warren woman died this week of injuries she sustained during a head-on collision in Tillamook in early June, that killed one person at the time of the crash.

Karen Mae Andrehsen, 62, of Warren, died as a result of injuries she sustained in the June 10 crash, according to updated information from Oregon State Police.

A preliminary investigation revealed that George Madsen, 33, of Tillamook, was traveling west on Highway 6 in a 1996 Saturn SL, when his vehicle entered an oncoming lane of eastbound traffic for unknown reasons when it collided with a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country van being operated by Debra Frappier, 60, of Scappoose.

Madsen's vehicle struck the van head on and came to rest in the eastbound lane of the highway against a guardrail, and facing west. Madsen died at the scene.

Frappier's vehicle came to rest in the eastbound lane against the guardrail facing east.

Frappier had three passengers in her vehicle at the time of the crash — Andrehsen, Geraldine Mae Murphy, 88, of Warren, and Kathy Marie Thomas, 56, of Columbia City.

All of the women were transported to Portland hospitals for serious injuries following the crash.
