Missing Astoria woman was traveling eastbound on foot; law enforcement asking for help locating her

SandersLaw enforcement agencies are seeking the public's help in locating a missing woman from Astoria.

The St. Helens Police shared a media release on Wednesday, March 13, which was first published by the Astoria Police Department asking for information about Maya Sanders, 29, who was reported missing earlier this week.

Around 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sanders' mother reported her missing from downtown Astoria. She was last seen in the downtown area around noon. After locating some of her personal property, law enforcement believe the woman was walking eastbound.

Sanders suffers "from disabilities that may put her at higher risk if not located. She is not dressed for the weather, and does not have her cell phone," the release stated.

Law enforcement officers are specifically requesting information from anyone who saw Sanders after 1 p.m. Tuesday and knows what direction she was traveling.

Sanders was last seen wearing a long, black, white and green-colored shirt and was wearing pink shoes. She is 5'9" and weighs 130 pounds.

SHPD Police Chief Brian Greenway said officers were notified about the missing woman and wanted to help spread awareness when they shared the media release Wednesday morning.

Anyone with information about Sanders should con-

tact Astoria police at 503-325-4411.
