The Scappoose High School Theater department premieres its spring play, 'Oh, Promise Me!' next week.

The comedy of errors by Pete Williams focuses on a bachelor (portrayed by CJ Jones) preparing to inherit a fortune as he graduates college.

As he heads home from school he sends out two notes - one an invite for his 'dream girl' (Emily Kimball) to accompany him home and the other telling his ex-flame (Madie Darr) their relationship is over. But hilarity ensues as the notes get switched.

Local theater veteran Tom Weaver is directing, his first time heading a production at Scappoose High.

'Oh, Promise Me!' premiers Monday, May 21 and continues May 24 and May 25. Each show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 each at the school's auditorium.
