Meanwhile, McCabe Real Estate Group recently selected Dannen as its annual Egg Hunt For Hope recipient. The well-loved Sherwood High School teacher is expecting her second daughter this spring while also battling an aggressive form of breast cancer.

The eighth annual benefit egg hunt is set for Saturday, April 12, at 1:30 p.m. This year the event will be at a new location as well — Edy Ridge Elementary School’s field, 21472 S.W. Copper Terrace.{img:30636}

Cost for the benefit egg hunt is only $3 per child.  Rain or shine, there will be four egg hunts: one for the age group of 0-2 years, 3 years olds to kindergarten students, and first- to fifth-graders. A free hunt is offered to all adults.

To raise money for Briana, sweets and hot coffee or cocoa will be sold at the event for a donation.

You can also purchase drawing tickets for a chance to win one of many great donated items or you can bid on the higher priced ones. And don’t forget to bring your camera to get pictures taken with the Easter Bunny.

To donate to Briana, please make your check out to: Sherwood Community Friends Church and don’t forget to put on the memo line: Egg Hunt For Hope: Briana.  Please mail your check to: Sherwood Community Friends Church, 23264 SW Main Street, Sherwood, 97140

Meanwhile, you can “like” the Egg Hunt For Hope Facebook page to find out updates for this year’s event.

Todd and Leslie McCabe, local Sherwood residents and volunteers, are a real estate team with Keller Williams Realty and The McCabe Real Estate Group.

They started the Egg Hunt For Hope in 2007 to raise money for a local family affected by cancer.
