Dale Wayne Green

Sandy resident Dale Wayne Green, 55, died at his home Monday, April 29.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11, at Camp Howard in Corbett.   

Dale was born April 13, 1958, in Arlington, Wash., to Fred and Mary (Bishop) Green. He was raised in Darrington and Trout Lake.

After high school, Dale lived in Klickitat County, working for local orchards and as a logger for Green Brothers and Browning logging companies. 

Dale married Laura Cannon on March 14, 1989, in Hood River. He worked for Fred Meyer in the 1990s when his family moved to Sandy.

Dale enjoyed playing cards, hunting and fishing. He loved to barbecue prime rib while volunteering at Camp Howard.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Green; sons, James Green of Lincoln City, Fred Green of Sandy and Nathaniel Green of Klickitat County, Wash.; and several siblings.

Roberta Elaine Wamboldt

June 5, 1947-April 30, 2013

Sandy resident Roberta Wamboldt died suddenly at her home Tuesday, April 30. She was 65.

A celebration of life will be held at noon Saturday, May 18, at the Kelso Grange.

Roberta was born June 5, 1947, in McMinnville to Darlene L. (Wickwire) and Jesse Rubin Haskins. She was raised in Hood River and then in Portland, graduating from Centennial High School in 1965.

She married Marvin Wamboldt on Aug. 27, 1965, in Portland. Roberta enjoyed beading and black powder rifle shooting. She was a member of the Barlow Trail Long Rifle Club and was affectionately known as “Momma Squaw.”

She is survived by her husband, Marvin; sons, Marvin Jr. of Sandy and Jesse of Louisiana; stepfather, R.C. Peterson; eight grandchildren; and six great-granddaughters.
