CONTRIBUTED PHOTO - 'Dial M for Murder' opens the new season for Nutz-n-Boltz Theater Company in Boring. As fall brings rain and chills, the Nutz-n-Boltz Theater Company prepares a production with thrills. At 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, the Boring thespians will open their season with Frederick Knott's "Dial M for Murder."

The play brings 1950s Britain to 27861 Grange St. in a story of betrayal, intrigue and, of course, murder.

When ex-tennis pro Tony Wendice's plan to murder his wife Margot for her millions goes south, he has to get crafty and take matters into his own hands.

"We haven't done a thriller in a while," theater company owner and actress Kelly Lazenby said. "There are some twists and turns, but it ends up having a happy ending."

Renowned actor Tobias Anderson will direct the seven-member cast, and directed the company's last Alfred Hitchcock production.

"I think it would be a nice way to spend an evening," Lazenby added.

That said, the play is best suited for audiences ages 8 and older.

The production will run until Oct. 15, opening on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased in advance online at or at the door.
