Abby Miller, a Tualatin High School senior, danced the iconic role of the Sugar Plum Fairy during Saturday's noon performance. It was a role she called “more challenging” than anything she had had the opportunity to do.

“It is the first time I have done any partnering,” Miller said. “The choreography is tough. I am so excited to finally dance this role on stage for an audience!”

“It has been very fun getting the chance to play such an elegant and regal part,” she added, explaining she had been rehearsing the role from about six hours a week since August.

Miller has been involved in productions of the Tchaikovsky classic for the past several years.
