Lam Research Corporation presented the Tigard-Tualatin Family Resource Center with a check for more than $26,000 on Tuesday, continuing a 12-year tradition.

Tualatin’s largest private employer has long praised the organization for its efficiency of operations, what Lam vice president of manufacturing Ken Pacioni has called “doing so much with so little.”

TTFRC is funded by the Washington County Commission for Children and Families and serves the Tigard-Tualatin School District. TTFRC uses its funds to provide underserved families with essentials like food and transportation, gas vouchers that allow families to travel to medical appointments and job interviews and furniture vouchers for families living in shelters. In addition, TTFRC funds provide items that cannot be purchased with food stamps, such as diapers and basic personal care items. In some cases, TTFRC offers baby formula and prescription assistance.

This year’s contribution is the result of an employee-matching fundraising campaign. TTFRC last received a $26,000 check, from Lam-acquired company Novellus Systems, in 2011.
