Tualatin gets off to a fast start on its way to getting first victory

TUALATIN — The Tualatin High boys basketball team got off to a strong start and then rolled to its first win of the season.

The Timberwolves bolted out to a 20-9 first-quarter lead over Milwaukie on their way to posting a 74-55 victory over the Mustangs in a non-league game played Friday at Tualatin High School.

With the win, Tualatin moved to 1-4 on the season. Milwaukie fell to 0-3 with the setback.

Sophomore Dante' Reid led a balanced Tualatin scoring attack in the win with 18 points. Senior Taylor Boos added 17 points and junior Jacob Bennett scored 15.

Prior to the win over Milwaukie, Tualatin fell 89-57 to Southridge in a non-league game played Friday at Southridge High School. Sophomore Luke Osborn led the Wolves with 22 points in that game. Reid added 13 points.
