The First Street improvement project is slated for early 2019, and the city is looking for public feedback

COURTESY RENDERING: CITY OF WOODBURN - This is one of the designs of a future First Street that has been presented to Woodburn City Council.The city of Woodburn's First Street Improvements Project will be underway in early 2019.

The project will include streetscape improvements on First Street between Oak and Harrison Streets, pedestrian-friendly sidewalks, crosswalks, an improved Second Street parking lot and alleyway beautification.

In an effort to engage the Woodburn community in the project, City Council has asked that the public provide feedback on the following key design concepts:

• Imprinted design concept for Garfield and First Street intersection;

• Concrete stain color for street intersections;

• First Street design changes to preserve Library Park trees; and

• Street tree selection.

The survey will be available through the end of August.
