Bolton jog-a-thon raised $11,000

by: SUBMITTED PHOTO - Volunteers from Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue cheer on students at Bolton Primary School.Though the forecast called for rain, the Bolton students shined during the fifth annual Bolton Primary School jog-a-thon. Supported by teachers, staff, parents, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue and the West Linn Police Department, students ran to raise money to purchase new musical instruments, a new art display system and to support other PTA Programs.

The joggers were entertained by the musical spinnings of DJ Moondance Mike and Portland Running Company donated its time and running course, including a huge blow-up finish line. One firefighter even ran 35 laps with the students. Overall, the event raised $11,000 for the school.
