The committee prepared chicken and rice soup, salad, rolls and homemade cookies for 25 families in West Linn. The meals were delivered to homes in time for the big game on Sunday.

This effort was part of the West Linn Lutheran Church’s ongoing commitment to community support and outreach, and was an opportunity for the church to support the Neighbors Helping Neighbors families, a program that brings volunteers together to work in the yards of residents in need.

On Feb. 20, Feb. 27, March 6, March 13, March 20 and March 27, the West Linn Lutheran Church will host soup suppers at 5:30 p.m. at the church at 20390 Willamette Drive in West Linn in recognition of Lent.

These suppers are open to the public and all are welcome.
