Each year, West Linn residents Brian and Pam Pearce and seven other families invite the entire community of West Linn to their dinner table.

The families join together to host the annual Night Before Thanksgiving feast in an effort to bring families, neighbors and friends together for the holidays while raising funds for charity. And they are doing it again this year.

The Pearces, along with the Banys, the Penes, the Mejdell/Kopplers, the Piscitellos, the Carters, the Berggrens and the Beckers, will hold the event Nov. 27 at the West Linn Adult Community Center.

The event will feature a spaghetti dinner with garlic bread, salad, dessert and drinks in a benefit for West Linn Young Life. Previous beneficiaries of the dinner include The Summit teen center, the Brian Grant Foundation and the West Linn Food Pantry. They have served more than 200 people in years past and raise on average $2,000 each year.

Pam Pearce said the event volunteers — a team of local families — bus tables, serve and cook in the kitchen each year.

The annual Night Before Thanksgiving fundraiser will take place Nov. 27 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the West Linn Adult Community Center, 1180 Rosemont Road, West Linn. Suggested donation is $12 per adult, $5 per child. One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit West Linn Young Life.
