Poetry event open to all

The McLean House will play host to the Oregon Poetic Voices group June 18 during the “Walking the Borders: Writing Our Cultures” workshop.

The workshop begins at 4 p.m. and is open to writers of all ages, regardless of experience.

Writers will “explore the borders where memoir intersects with broader cultural stories and discuss issues of craft including voice and literary form.”

The event was organized by the City of West Linn and the West Linn Public Library. Food and drinks will be provided.

The McLean House is located at 5350 River St.

Attend Stafford Hamlet town hall meeting

The Stafford Hamlet is set to host an ice cream social and town hall meeting June 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Stafford Primary School.

The Hamlet board will provide an update on its latest accomplishments and detail its current workings. All are welcome to attend, ask questions and enjoy ice cream.

Attend Daddy Daughter Dance

The annual Daddy Daughter Dance is set for June 13 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Adult Community Center. This year’s theme is “Saddle up Li’l Partners.”
