The girls won every race except for the 100 butterfly and continued to post impressive times. The Lions started the meet by taking first and second in the medley relay led by the team of Laura Laderoute, Robin Pinger, Kylie Norris and Brianna Dyrdahl, which hit the wall in 1:55.58 seconds.

The Lions then went 1-2-3 in the 200 freestyle. Maxi Muessig won the event in 2:22, followed by Sarah Cooper and Shannon Badnin.

In the 50 freestyle, Dyrdahl and Lauren Cramer took first and second respectively.

It was another 1-2 finish for West Linn in the 100 freestyle with Pinger winning the event in 56.38 seconds, followed by Norris.

The Lions also swept the 500 freestyle. Samantha Rhodes posted a winning time of 6:34.06 while Elisabeth Schweitzer and Kate McNamara took second and third.

The team of Cooper, Muessig, Rhodes and Pinger would then capture the 200 freestyle relay in 1:53.45 and Laderoute followed with her second individual win of the day, taking home the backstroke in 1:01.15.

Pinger would also score a second victory one event later, winning the breaststroke in 1:09.08.

West Linn capped the evening with Laderoute, Dyrdahl, Cooper and Norris winning the 400 freestyle relay while the Lions' No. 2 relay team in the event finished second, topping Canby by five-hundredths of a second.

In the boys event, West Linn won its share of events but didn't have the depth to keep Canby from racking up points.

The Lions won the 200 medley relay in 1:54.47, led by good swims from Kyle Vu, Parker Kilstrom, Skyler Younger and Zachary Reid.

Vu would then win the 200 freestyle in 2:02.14. Reid narrowly missed a win in the individual medley, finishing just more than a half-second behind Canby's top swimmer and Ian Herr followed with a second-place finish in the 50 freestyle.

West Linn picked up another win in the 100 butterfly, with Kilstrom posting a time of 56.58 seconds.

Two races later, Kilstrom scored his second victory by winning the 500 freestyle in 5:18.86, nearly 45 seconds faster than his closest competitor.

Vu would also be a double winner for West Linn on the evening, winning the 100 backstroke in 100.37.

The Lions take on Clackamas Thursdsay at the Lake Oswego pool.
