When it's high school football and you've got one last chance to strap on the pads, snap down your chinstrap and hit somebody, there's always time.

And for graduated West Linn seniors Taran Floyd and Chris Comings, that time is set for 6 p.m. Saturday at Hillsboro Stadium in the annual Les Schwab Bowl. The 2018 contest marks the 71st anniversary of the annual North vs. South High School All-Star football game and features the top graduating seniors from Oregon high schools.

Together, Comings and Floyd helped lift West Linn to incredible heights, with Comings a three-year letterman who was part of the Lions' 2017 Three Rivers League and Class 6A state championships as well as its 2018 state quarterfinalist. Floyd, meanwhile, played two years of varsity football, helping Wilsonville reach the Class 5A state semifinals in his sophomore season, then coming back to earn all-league honors as a senior at West Linn.
