Two female employees tied up during one incident

Two Wilsonville hotels were robbed last week, but police believe the cases are unconnected.

A man robbed the La Quinta Inn in Wilsonville on Friday morning after tying up two female employees.

According to police, at 4:15 a.m. on Sept. 6 a man walked into La Quinta Inn at 8815 SW Sun Place where two female employees were setting up for breakfast. The man allegedly pointed a gun at the employees and then tied them up.

He then released one briefly and had her empty the cash drawer for him. He took the money and the two employees’ purses and fled the scene. He got away with an undisclosed amount of money. Members of the Wilsonville Police Department and the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office searched for the robbery suspect but could not find him. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned male adult between the age 20 and 25 with a medium height and build. He was wearing a black ski mask, a long-sleeve shirt and gloves. Neither employee was injured in the incident. An armed robbery, which is a robbery in the first-degree, is considered a measure 11 type felony crime in the state of Oregon. This event was forwarded to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Detectives Division for further investigation. Police are seeking tips on this case. The suspect entered the business and robbed the clerk of an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then left and is believed to have driven away in a car parked near the entrance of the motel.

The suspect is a white male adult, between 35 and 40 years old, with short dark hair and a large tattoo on his forearm. He was wearing light-colored blue jeans, white tennis shoes and a distinctive dark T-shirt with a large eagle design on the front from shoulder to shoulder.
