Three others also hurt in early morning accident

by: SUBMITTED PHOTO: CLACKAMAS COUNTY SHERIFF - A two vehicle collision occurred at 8 a.m. Friday when a black Volvo veered into oncoming traffic. A woman was killed Jan. 10 in a two-vehicle crash on a bridge near the intersection of Stafford Road and Shadow Wood Drive in West Linn.

The woman, identified as Karri Thomas, 31, of West Linn, was transported to Oregon Health & Science University hospital. She died Jan. 11, according to the Multnomah County Medical Examiner Office.

Two children, of second grade and pre-school age, were also in the car and were transported to Dornbecher Children's Hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries and later released.

Police said Thomas was driving her black Volvo southbound on Stafford Road when she veered out of her lane of travel and into oncoming traffic, colliding with a northbound Ford Escape.

The Ford was driven by Sarah Harwood, 27, from Wilsonville. She was taken to Legacy Meridian Park Hospital for minor injuries.

The crash occurred at 8 a.m., and the scene was closed for investigation shortly thereafter.

The crash remains under investigation, according to police.
