City requests comment on Boones Ferry Park project

The City of Wilsonville would like to hear Wilsonville citizens' thoughts regarding the Boones Ferry Park master plan. Those interested can visit the Wilsonville Parks and Recreation website at Online feedback is available until Dec. 31.

The project is designed to expand the seven-acre park to include underdeveloped land between the train track and Boones Ferry Road and a four-acre parcel the city purchased in 2015. The city is considering three concepts for expansion.

Wilsonville Area Chamber of Commerce awards members

The Wilsonville Area Chamber of Commerce awarded Mark Pruitt of Professional Sign & Graphics with the President's Award for Distinguished Service and Gladys Boutwell of Pacific Benefits Planners Insurance with the Ambassador of the Year award. Pruitt has been a member of the WACC for 16 years and has served on the board of directors, the ambassador team and the public policy council and has provided signage for the WACC annual golf tournament for over a decade.

According to a WACC Facebook post, Boutwell has hosted events, welcomed new businesses

to Wilsonville and has made members feel welcome.

Scout troop collects trees

Scouting Troop 194 will collect trees and accept donations 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6 at the Wilsonville City Hall parking lot or the Wood Middle School parking lot. The suggested minimum donation is $15 per tree but Scouts will collect trees regardless of the donation amount.
