BOOK CLUB — Join fellow readers for lively and thought-provoking conversation about excellent books. Books to be discussed are available for check out at the Wilsonville Library. This month's book is "The Rainbow Comes and Goes" by Anderson Cooper. Club meets at 6 p.m. at the Wilsonville Community Center, 7965 S.W. Wilsonville Road.

PARKS ADVISORY BOARD — Wilsonville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meets at 4:30 p.m.; the public is welcome. On the agenda is a discussion on the board's goals. Parks Administrative building, 29600 S.W. Park Place.

WERK IN WILSONVILLE — Annual day of service in Wilsonville, concentrating on a variety of park projects. Check in and breakfast at 8 a.m.; work goes until noon or 1 p.m. Wilsonville Community Center, 7965 S.W. Wilsonville Road.

COMMMUNIT CONCERT — Canadian quartet The Fretless plays at Winona Grange, playing a complex yet digestible melding of intricate classical arrangements and folk melodies. Get tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show at The grange is located at 8340 S.W. Seneca St., Tualatin.

WILSONVILLE GARDEN CLUB — Plan to stock up for the gardening season at the Wilsonville Garden Club annual plant sale. Blooming annuals, summer and shade perennials and lightly used garden art and containers will be available for purchase. Clackamas Community College-Wilsoville, 29353 Town Center Loop E; sale runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

LIVE MUSIC — Head to the historic Butteville Store just across the Willamette River from Wilsonville in French Prairie for dinner and performance by the Never Strangers Band, with its "Northwest sound" of bluegrass, gospel and American folk. COMMUNITY CONCERT — The last of the free "Who's on First?" concert series of the season at Woodburn United Methodist Church will be May 20 with the Conchords Chorale performing music from Scotland, Ireland and Wales. The concert begins at 3 p.m.; 700 N. Cascade Dr., Woodburn.


ART SHOW — Clackamas Community College's student art show opens May 17 and runs through June 7 in the Alexander Gallery. The show is a juried exhibition that showcases CCC students' exploration of disciplines throughout the year. The show will include painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, digital design and jewelry making. The Alexander Gallery is located in the Niemeyer Center on the Oregon City campus, 19600 Molalla Ave. The gallery is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., except for campus closures.
