The Wilsonville Public Library Foundation held its third annual Evening of Imagination invitational fundraising dinner on Oct. 19 at the Wilsonville Holiday Inn. One hundred twenty guests were in attendance for a fun filled evening with Scott Anderson volunteering as the emcee. Scott is with Edward Jones (his day job) but his talent as a magician is another part of his repertoire. Dinner guests were also entertained during cocktail hour by a great little jazz group called Calamity Jazz.

Thanks to the generosity of over 40 local businesses a silent auction was a huge part of our evening — a wonderful cornucopia of items to bid on. Hilly Alexander, board president, gave a short welcoming speech and introduced guest speaker Kimberly Howard from the Oregon Cultural Trust. Ms. Howard explained how a donation to both the library and the OCT can benefit the foundation even further.

The foundation received a wonderful donation of $5,000 from the Xerox Corporation for our endowment fund and another $12,000 was raised from silent auction bids and general donations. The board of directors wishes to thank each and every person who made this such a successful event — we are already planning for next year!
