The Wilsonville girls lacrosse team may not have made it as far as they had hoped into the post season, but their hard work and efforts did not go unnoticed. The Oregon Girls Lacrosse Association (OGLA) released its list of all-state and all-league players, and several of the Wildcats got the nod.

Sophomore Brooklyne Waddell got two distinctions for her team, earning first team all-state honors as well as all-league honors in the Three Rivers League (TRL) as an attacker. Waddell averaged 4.59 goals per game, with a total of 78 goals over the course of the 17 game season. She also had 29 assists for the season, with a season high four in the 15-14 playoff loss to Jesuit on May 16.

SPOKESMAN FILE PHOTO: TANNER RUSS - Senior MacKenzie Welberg earned second team all-state honors for her work as a middie. In the Three Rivers League (TRL) she also earned first team all-league honors. The midfield may have been Wilsonville's strongest area of the field as three players earned recognition there. Senior MacKenzie Welberg earned second team all-state honors, as well as TRL first team honors for her work as a middie. Welberg also played the entirety of the season, and averaged two assists per game. She also successfully gained control of the ball after a draw 84 times, and 10 times in three separate games.

Sophomore Kylie Hix received first team all-league honors in the middie spot as well. Hix picked up 28 ground balls throughout the season, and contributed 26 goals as well, shooting 53.1 percent.
